Effective immediately, we are discontinuing the sales of the XZone70V Streaming Mixer Amplifier. The internal audio streamer of the XZone70V has been discontinued and a new generation streamer is available. Plus, a new product from Russound is coming soon. If you’d still like to use an XZone70V for an upcoming job, keep in mind that many of our distributors still have stock of this product and should be able to meet any immediate needs you may have.
The primary reason for the discontinuation is that the internal audio streamer of the XZone70V products has now been discontinued and replaced through Russound’s launch of the MBX-Series of streaming audio products last year. This discontinuation is also to make way for the new 70v Mixer Amp, the MIXAMP-60, coming soon from Russound.
If you were using the XZone70V there are two paths you will be able to take; using the MIXAMP-60 which is coming soon, or the MBX-PRE which is available now:
Coming soon from Russound is the All-In-One Solution MIXAMP-60 designed to be used in many more new and retrofit commercial installations than the XZone70V. The MIXAMP-60 features:

Use an MBX-PRE with a 70V Amplifier. The MBX-PRE features:

- Built-in streaming services including Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, TuneIn, SiriusXM, vTuner & Napster
- Fully controllable with the MyRussound app or the XTSPlus in-wall touch screen
- Voice controllable with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant
- Hi-Res audio streaming support up to 24-bit/192 kHz
- Bluetooth Audio
- Alarms, Sleep Timers & Scheduling

The streamer in the XZone70V is our previous generation streamer so it can’t access any of our newer services or features like:
- Napster
- Tidal
- Deezer
- Chromecast
The XZone70V and any other XStream Series streamer will continue to offer all of the services that they do today but there are changes that we know will happen over time to slowly reduce the number of available services due to changes by the service providers. Right now, that is limited to SiriusXM which will be going away sometime in the future. SiriusXM is tentatively planning on this for the end of the year but nothing has been finalized yet.

- Apple AirPlay (the XStream products will NOT support AirPlay2)
SiriusXM will be offering a free Echo Dot to all affected customers who will lose the SiriusXM service on their XStream devices. An Echo Dot can be plugged into the Aux jack of an XZone70V and we also offer a custom firmware version that defaults to the Aux input automatically when the XZone70V is powered on. This makes the integration with an Echo Dot or other devices a bit easier.
