Overview
All MCA products are Ethernet enabled devices allowing for IP based features and control. RIO (Russound I/O) allows Russound IP based control systems to integrate with, control, and communicate bi-directionally through an open protocol. In addition to dedicated keypads and touchscreen control options, the free My Russound App (iOS and Android) controls all Russound Ethernet connected products on the LAN including the MCA-66 and its source components.
Want to be able to easily play great music in your kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, home office and outdoors by the pool? The MCA-66 can handle that easily. Want to add more rooms? Just add a second MCA-66 and you can distribute any of those 6 audio sources to up to 12 rooms. Want more? You can add up to a total of 6 MCA-66s and expand to an incredible 36 audio zones.
With easy and convenient app control of the system, enjoying your music couldn’t be simpler. Interested in having some dedicated controls that don’t involve having to scrounge for your phone, look for and start an app, etc.? Russound offers a convenient keypad control, the IPK-1 and also a full dedicated control panel with its elegant wall-mounted 7” Android touchscreen, the XTS7, that can control any other smart home devices like lighting, shades, thermostats, etc. by downloading their apps from the Google Play Store.
Add an MBX-PRE streaming audio player to get your favorite music from Spotify, Pandora, TIDAL, Deezer, SiriusXM and other popular sources. We recommend adding an MBX-PRE for every user in the home so that everyone can listen to their own favorite music selections whenever they would like. The MBX-PRE also includes support for AirPlay and Google Cast for Music, so that anyone can easily play music from any app on their phones or tablets.
The built-in amplifiers of the MCA-66 provide plenty of power for most rooms in the home, but for very large rooms, or for power-hungry outdoor zones, you can easily add additional amplifiers to meet any need. Russound offers many different amplifier models just for that purpose.
